Romero General Construction Corp. (RGCC) was incorporated in the state of California in 1992 and operates in California under Contractor’s License #657359, “A” General Engineering.

Shortly after being incorporated, RGCC was designated a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) through Caltrans. Through the Caltrans DBE program, RGCC quickly established itself as a Southern California construction industry leader by successfully completing numerous highway, dam, and airport construction projects. RGCC was certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) as an 8(a) contractor in 2004 and made our way through program completing all 9 years and $138,000,000.00 in sole-sourced contracts for general engineering, asphalt paving, Sitework concrete and design-build projects at various military installations in California and Idaho.

Over the years, RGCC has been extensively involved in the completion of several projects for Government agencies such as the Army Corps of Engineers, United States Marine Corps, United States Navy, United States Air Force, San Diego Airport for Kiewit Pacific, and the City of San Diego. In the past 5 years, one of RGCC’s most recognizable projects was the Mid Coast Trolley project / MCTC-SANDAG-MTA. Some of RGCC’s largest delivery orders within this project were Genesee Ave/ UTC widening, Balboa Park & Ride, Tecolote Park & Ride, Rose Creek Bike Path, and Voight Auxiliary Lane. And most recently the City of San Diego paving JOC. south and sitework JOC north. Although RGCC performs 80% of its own work, RGCC has developed an extensive database of highly qualified vendors and subcontractors to perform multiple trades.
